American Marketing Association, Houston, Hosts April Events

On April 2, the third annual Marketing Symposium provides a half-day of marketing research workshops and networking opportunities with top marketing experts. April 8 marks AMA's leadership seminar, "Developing the Leader Within," with presentations and discussions led by David Nino, Director of Leadership at Rice University; Jan Tucker, National Account Marketing Leader – Oil & Gas at Deloitte; and Lisa Godfrey, President and CEO of C.E.O. Visionaries. This panel of speakers will provide participants with information on authentic leadership, ethical decision making, emotional intelligence, career-pathing and communication styles. Scheduled April 14, AMA's monthly luncheon will feature Michele Wood, Brand Manager at Statoil, a leading energy company in oil and gas exploration and production. The luncheon discussion, "Employing Successful Brand Strategy During and After a Merger" will provide attendees with knowledge on how Statoil successfully employed a unique brand strategy both during and after a merger to help with the integration of two companies.
