Poets will participate in an onsite poetry contest, attend educational lectures and seminars, take part in reading rooms and rap sessions, and enjoy world-class entertainment. The weekend concludes with an awards ceremony on Sunday. Members from over 60 different nations congregate at the convention to showcase their work and meet legendary American artists and poets.

The convention is designed to recognize, award, and promote the poetic talent of ISP members. It's a place where poets from all over the world can discover resources and find inspiration for their writing. "It is extremely rewarding to see how this convention affects our members," says Steve Michaels, Convention Chairperson of the International Society of Poets. He adds, "The talent we see is outstanding. This is an organization that people are proud to be a part of, and that's why people keep coming back every year."
